Abstract
This file contains supplemental data for the JGR manuscript Trace Element Transport and Deposition during Magmatic Degassing: The Effect on Martian Rocks and Fines (Zimmermann et al., in review). It includes SEM images and associated EDS spectra of vapor deposited phases produced in experiments.

SEM/EDS analyses for vapor deposited phases produced in experiments followed two analytical procedures. Degassed tubes of compositions A, C, and D were gold-coated and analyzed at the Department of Materials Science at Stony Brook University, using a LEO Gemini 1550 SEM with EDS capability. Results from composition B were analyzed at the Department of Geosciences at Stony Brook University, using a Phenom XL G2 Desktop SEM with EDS capability; gold coating was not required when using this detector. SEM/EDS analyses provided the chemistry and morphology of vapor-deposited phases and coatings; the identity of most of the phases discussed in this paper were inferred from these observations. Further details can be found in the full manuscript: Trace Element Transport and Deposition during Magmatic Degassing: The Effect on Martian Rocks and Fines.
