Abstract
We study strange stars under the assumption of the strange matter hypothesis, using an MIT bag model to describe strange matter. We find that a 1.97 solar masses star (as recently measured) is generally possible in the context of the bag model, although it places restrictions on the bag model's parameters. Furthermore, limits for the central pressure and energy density are obtained.
