Abstract
Birthday Cards is a short story collection focusing on individuals whom never make complete connections with one another. Though the characters often make sacrifices for the people they love, nothing good is gained from those sacrifices. In trying to help others, my narrators lose sight of themselves, causing them to live their lives in the shadows of other people. | 122 pages
