Ross Nehm is a professor in Stony Brook University’s Ecology and Evolution Department. He is the Principal Investigator of Biology Education Research Lab. The BER lab conducts basic and applied research on human reasoning about evolutionary, ecological and biological concepts in order to improve understanding of living systems. Gena and Ross will be presenting on their OER creation of a Matter and Energy Digital Assets for Learning (MEDAL) for gateway biology classes at SUNY. MEDAL is an OER library that contains an array of modular digital learning assets suitable for gateway biology classes.
