Description

iii, 13 p. ; 28 cm. Bibliography.,from the preface, ". . .On 20-22 May 1976 a group of estuarine oceanographers from the United States, Canada, England, and South America met at the Belle Baruch Institute for Marine Biology and Coastal Research of the University of South Carolina to review and critically assess our knowledge of estuarine transport processes. It was the very strong consensus of the group that recent data show many of our previous ideas of estuarine transport processes to be overly simplistic and that a greater level of sophistication of our understanding of these processes is required not only for a significant scientific advancement, but also for effective environmental protection and management. . .
